“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you, that you may become Righteous” (Koran 2:183)
Fasting is a unique deed that bonds the human and his creator, and the abstinence from food, drink, desires and misdeeds places the human in a position of Continual Servitude.
Fasting on a regular basis improves ones self discipline, purifies them, and improves their character, therefore changing them for the better. It is by the Mercy and Divine Wisdom of God that the Muslim is required to go through this purification process for a whole month at least once a year, making it almost impossible not to better ourselves.
My plan was want break my first day of fasting with cook balinese salad, but when i go to the shop, all vegetables and fruits sold out. Ya , as usual , mybe Ramadhan make people more hungry...?
So, today i just have a plate of palm fruit to break my fasting day :)
Happy Ramadhan All, may Allah grant us the Blessing of this Month, so we can use it as an opportunity to purify and change ourselves, become a better person.
