Rajashtan is the one state in india that bravely to use the bright colours in everday life. Mybe because they live in the desert where everyday is summer, shaping the culture there.

If you visit udaipur, try to see the culture performance there. From my experience, the rajasthani dance and music more relax and fun compare than clasical south india dance that use a lot of rule for mudras (hand gesture) and ragas (the music). Rajasthani dance use more free movement, It's invite you to dance and give you the happy feeling.

The Glam Of City Palace UDAIPUR

The City Palace is a must visit place when you are around UDAIPUR city. Why ? Because this is the most beautiful palace complex around india (From my experience). The one and only palace that well mantained, clean, huge and beautiful.

The city Palace was built concurrently with establishment of the Udaipur city by Maharana Uday Singh, in 1559 and his successor Maharanas over a period of the next 300 years. It is considered the largest royal complex in Rajasthan and is replete with history. Founding of the city and building of the palace complex can not be looked in isolation as the Maharanas lived and administered their kingdom from this palace.

Constructed in an ostentatious style on a hill top, the City Palace has a fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles and is measured as the largest of its type in the state. The City Palace offers panoramic views of the city of Udaipur and its beautiful surrounding lakes, palaces and temples.

Historical legend narrated to the selection of the site for the palace is about a hermit meeting Maharana Udai Singh when he was on a hunting trail in the Udaipur hills. The Maharana met the hermit who was meditating on top of a hill above the Pichola Lake and sought the hermit’s blessings. The hermit advised the Maharana to build his palace at that very spot and that is where the palace complex came to be established at Udaipur.

Complete with rich history, the City Palace complex is painted in lustrous white colour and is built completely in marble and granite. The interiors are adorned with subtle marble work, mirror work, murals, silver work, wall paintings, inlay work and colour glass work.

Need full day to explore all the complex of city palace. The best time to start is in the morning around 8 AM. Start to cross the lake and go around. My fav spot is in the up of city palace where i can see the city side of UDAIPUR and make perfect good picture there.

Prepare 1000 Rs for all the entry ticket, and make sure keep all the ticket inside your bag, because the security will do checking several time to make sure you have the entry ticket :)

A Glimpse of UDAIPUR Street

I just want to closed the map, off from the tourist trail, walking and follow the small alley around old city area of UDAIPUR. To see and to feel the gorgeous feeling of teetering in the unknown around the street.

Life , spirituality heart beat , blend with the charm of the old look vibration ..

UDAIPUR - The city of Lake

Yes, next stop is the city of lake UDAIPUR. The small city in Rajashtan , that famous with the most romantic city name in India. Located 450 km from JAIPUR.

Udaipur is a very popular tourist destination. Apart from its history, culture, and scenic locations, it is also known for its Rajput-era palaces. The Lake Palace, for instance, covers an entire island in the Pichola Lake. Many of the palaces have been converted into luxury hotels. It is often called the "Venice of the East".

Before i fly to real venice, let me try first the venice of east :)

Vegetarian Food around Jaipur (4)

After walking around the fort, our belly just need the food. We ask the driver where the place to get good food. And he just drop us in the small place near the street of the palace.

I think this is the best thali that i have since i travel around India. I'm not sure the name of this place (they write it in hindi alphabet), but the location just in the front of Jaipur Palace. This place just serve the fresh vegan thali (punjabi, rajasthan and south india style). Highly Recomended for vegetarian traveller around jaipur. Simple place and cheap price.

Anyone can help me to translate the hindi alphabet of the restaurant name..? :)

Amer Fort - Jaipur INDIA (3)

Amer Fort , located 11 km from the centre of the jaipur city, known for its artistic style of Hindu elements. With its large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks the Maota Lake, at its forefront. The palace was lived in by the Rajput Maharajas and their families. It's huge and from my personal opinion, this is the best place to visit when you are in Jaipur.

I love the colours around there realy earthy, I love the elephant around, and I love the beautiful marble that engraved around the walls...

My advice, because the weather around jaipur is bit hot , to enjoy the place , try to wear cotton cloth, hat, comfort sandals and also bring mineral water. Be carefully pickpocket around the crowd. And because im elephant lover, im not ride the elephant there.
