If you look at the hotel around jaipur city, there are many of hotel that have interesting architecture building. For Jaipur i think the one that can be your choice to stay is Umaid Bhawan Hotel.
What i like about this hotel is the look, full of colour and classical shape of maharaj building. They paint the wall realy perfectly with some of god and goddes picture around. The room just standard nothing special. The Rooftop restaurant is nice, with good food and bright light.
This hotel is in quiet area of jaipur, and bit far from everything. But recomended for who that want escape for the crowd of jaipur.

Vegetarian Food around Jaipur (4)
After walking around the fort, our belly just need the food. We ask the driver where the place to get good food. And he just drop us in the small place near the street of the palace.
I think this is the best thali that i have since i travel around India. I'm not sure the name of this place (they write it in hindi alphabet), but the location just in the front of Jaipur Palace. This place just serve the fresh vegan thali (punjabi, rajasthan and south india style). Highly Recomended for vegetarian traveller around jaipur. Simple place and cheap price.
Anyone can help me to translate the hindi alphabet of the restaurant name..? :)

Amer Fort - Jaipur INDIA (3)
Amer Fort , located 11 km from the centre of the jaipur city, known for its artistic style of Hindu elements. With its large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks the Maota Lake, at its forefront. The palace was lived in by the Rajput Maharajas and their families. It's huge and from my personal opinion, this is the best place to visit when you are in Jaipur.
I love the colours around there realy earthy, I love the elephant around, and I love the beautiful marble that engraved around the walls...
My advice, because the weather around jaipur is bit hot , to enjoy the place , try to wear cotton cloth, hat, comfort sandals and also bring mineral water. Be carefully pickpocket around the crowd. And because im elephant lover, im not ride the elephant there.

Jaipur - The Pink City (2)
Jaipur is the largest city around Rajashtan State in India. I'm bit confused when many people say's Jaipur with the pink city name, because I'm not find any pink colour here :)
My personal opinion i think jaipur have more terracota colour. Especialy if you see the building around old city and the fort. Someone warn me, jaipur is crowd and too touristy. Mybe im lucky because i can feel jaipur pretty quite compare than the other city in india i've been visited.
at least in my first day there..
