Ladakh India - The Little Tibet (I)
Ladakh is the one destination that i have wanted to visit since 2010. This region known as "Little Tibet", is a bastion of Buddhist calm in a wild region. Ladakh owns many old monasteries and has a strong root of Tibetan Buddhism in India.
Even though this place is stand in a conflict area , between Jamu Kashmir and Border of Pakistan, still we can call this place heaven on earth. Not just because of the view but the people here are very spiritual and also peaceful.
How to reach Ladakh..?
Many traveller pick road trip, from delhi or other city because beautiful scenery around. And road trip good for acclimatization. Because ladakh is situated at an altitude of 3524 m making it difficult for visitor to breath beng in low in oxygen.
But i don't have time to do road journey. So i book flight from Jakarta to Delhi then book direct flight to Ladakh. And i read go direct from Delhi to Ladakh can give worst altitude sickness.
So I'm Ready for that
The first landing everything seemed okay, check in at the hotel, have breakfast, and the hotel people warn me to just rest and dont walk too much.
So the first day i just stayed in the hotel and all feel ok, but after one day i felt my head start spinning. i have difficult time just to walk and feel very weak. I start vomiting and my nose start bleeding non stop.
The Hotel Manager was worried with my condition, so He sent me to hospital to get fast treatment and injecton at 9 PM.
When i reached leh hospital, it is full of people who got altituded sicknes. So need queu to get treatment. And the doc says my Oxygen level is 68% the medicine will not help me. So he gave me some injections i forgot what is that. He just asks me to rest till i feel ok to walk again.
From all the treatment i just need to pay around 12$
Yes my first destination in Ladakh is Hospital 💓

Rajasthani Culture : Between the desert and the colours
Rajashtan is the one state in india that bravely to use the bright colours in everday life. Mybe because they live in the desert where everyday is summer, shaping the culture there.
If you visit udaipur, try to see the culture performance there. From my experience, the rajasthani dance and music more relax and fun compare than clasical south india dance that use a lot of rule for mudras (hand gesture) and ragas (the music). Rajasthani dance use more free movement, It's invite you to dance and give you the happy feeling.
Venue : Museum Bagore Ki Haveli Udaipur ( start 7.00 PM, ticket 100 INR ) & Shilpgram Village Udaipur (10.00 AM - 07.00 PM, ticket 25 INR)

The Glam Of City Palace UDAIPUR
The city Palace was built concurrently with establishment of the Udaipur city by Maharana Uday Singh, in 1559 and his successor Maharanas over a period of the next 300 years. It is considered the largest royal complex in Rajasthan and is replete with history. Founding of the city and building of the palace complex can not be looked in isolation as the Maharanas lived and administered their kingdom from this palace.
Constructed in an ostentatious style on a hill top, the City Palace has a fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles and is measured as the largest of its type in the state. The City Palace offers panoramic views of the city of Udaipur and its beautiful surrounding lakes, palaces and temples.
Historical legend narrated to the selection of the site for the palace is about a hermit meeting Maharana Udai Singh when he was on a hunting trail in the Udaipur hills. The Maharana met the hermit who was meditating on top of a hill above the Pichola Lake and sought the hermit’s blessings. The hermit advised the Maharana to build his palace at that very spot and that is where the palace complex came to be established at Udaipur.
Complete with rich history, the City Palace complex is painted in lustrous white colour and is built completely in marble and granite. The interiors are adorned with subtle marble work, mirror work, murals, silver work, wall paintings, inlay work and colour glass work.
Need full day to explore all the complex of city palace. The best time to start is in the morning around 8 AM. Start to cross the lake and go around. My fav spot is in the up of city palace where i can see the city side of UDAIPUR and make perfect good picture there.
Prepare 1000 Rs for all the entry ticket, and make sure keep all the ticket inside your bag, because the security will do checking several time to make sure you have the entry ticket :)
Have good sunday all, and happy travel..
