Aung San Suu Kyi : The Hero

Daw Suu, this is how Myanmar people call her, 66 years old women that shook the world with her action to enforce human rights in burma.

"I do not hold to non-violence for moral reasons, but for political and practical reasons," Daw Suu

Influenced by both Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of non-violence and more specifically by Buddhist concepts,Aung San Suu Kyi entered politics to work for democratization, helped found the National League for Democracy on 27 September 1988. She under house arrest 20 years from 1989 until 2010 by Burmese militery regime because her democracy movement.

Burma in the darkness time. Many people killed because the junta militery rule and Burma isolated from the outside world for a long time.

On the evening of 13 November 2010, Suu Kyi was released from house arrest after a lot of pressure from the world. And democracy begin to rise again.

Aung San Suu Kyi party win the ellection in April 2012, 43 of the 45 contested seats.

Now, when im roam around the street, I easily found everything about Aung San Suu Kyi. Poster, picture, party T Shirt, etc. This situation is very different from the last time.

Note: While i write this, over 25 people killed because ethnic and religious violance escalates between Buddhist Rakhine and minority Muslim Rohingya in western state of Rakhine, Burma.

Hope everything getting better soon , and no more blood for Burma...
