"Be fearless and pure, never waver in your determination or your dedication to the spiritual life. Give freely. Be self-controlled, sincere, truthful, loving, and full of the desire to serve...Learn to be detached and to take joy in renunciation. Do not get angry or harm any living creature, but be compassionate and gentle. Show good will to all. Cultivate vigor, patience, will, purity. Avoid malice and pride. Then, you will achieve your destiny.."
~Sri Krishna Quotes from The Bhagavad Gita~
The word "yatra" means journey, or tour. Yatra might be performed on foot (pada yatra), by train, or by air (vimana yatra). Advanced devotees are also able to perform invisible yatra, traveling with the subtle body. For Lord Jagannatha's ratha yatra, the means of transport for Lord Jagannatha, Balarama and Subhardra is by way of chariot, or 'car'.
This chariot vehicle is known as "ratha". Once each year, for a period of about 15 days, Lord Jagannatha travels out to spread his mercy. Those who have the good fortune to view the Jagannatha deities, or who help to pull the chariots along on their ropes, are benedicted by the Lord during the ratha yatra parade.
Since the procession start till the procession finish, all the krishna follower chant the maha mantra non stop.
"Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare"
They invite people around to chant together in the joy, with singing and dancing. Personaly i love the way to devote and worship supreme power in happy way, just like they do. Blend together invite the supreme power come reached consciousness, and the glory of the heart.
Over all , im interest with Hare Khrisna movement, but according to the 4 regulative principles life that they have, it will be difficult for me , if i must leave coffee and spice tea :(
Who know's someday i will do ...
